It all began within the walls of Little John Library at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. Serendipity led us to adjacent desks during the initial year of our medical programs. After weeks of playful banter and exchanged glances, Chase finally mustered the courage to ask me out to dinner. Our first date was spent sipping blackberry Moscow mules at Pierce Tavern in Downers Grove. It wasn't long before we became exclusive in March of 2019, just a few days before Chase's 25th birthday. Over the next year, we discovered our shared passion for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and water sports. We enjoyed going on runs, cooking together, and spending late nights with treasured friends in downtown Chicago. The onset of the pandemic prompted a shift to virtual learning and rotations, challenging but ultimately fortifying our bond. Amid uncertainty, we honed our culinary skills and cherished moments like daily runs to Navy Pier, binge watching Money Heist, and volunteering at Cook County Hospital. After I graduated, we moved a mere block away from each other in the West Loop. Our schedules busied as I started working as an OBGYN PA, while Chase began traveling for clinical rotations and interviewing for residencies. Whether sharing a porterhouse steak at El Che, spending a cozy night in, or traveling to Park City to ski and snowboard with family and friends, we never failed to make the most of our time together. In March of 2020, we were ecstatic to learn that Chase matched into the orthopedic surgery program in Lansing, Michigan, near his hometown. Despite the geographical distance, we sustained our connection through weekend visits and daily FaceTime calls. After one year of long-distance and four years together, on May 13th, 2023, Chase asked for my hand in marriage in the enchanting Sonoma Square rose garden in California, surrounded by my closest family members. Chase and I can't wait to celebrate this joyous moment with all of you as we embrace the beauty of the Park City area and exchange our vows in the presence of cherished family and friends. As we stand hand in hand, ready to embark on this new lifelong adventure, we are filled with gratitude for the love and support that has surrounded us. Your presence on August 30th, 2024, will make our wedding day even more magical, and we look forward to creating lasting memories as we step into this new chapter of our lives.
